Code 14 Interlink Driver (Cross-Border)

You'll move heavy loads between Vereeniging and depots across the country for a cold-chain logistics fleet. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

The work is in Vereeniging, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
• Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
• Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
• Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
• Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
• Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
• Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped

• Clean driving record with no serious accidents
• Passport for cross-border routes
• Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
• Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
• At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
• Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)

• Monthly safe-driving and fuel-saving bonus
• Overnight and subsistence allowance on trips
• Paid PrDP renewal

• Be honest about accidents or fines. Companies check your driving record anyway and trust drivers who tell them upfront.
• Put your licence code, PrDP expiry date and years on Code 14 in the first three lines. Transport managers scan for those first.
