Job Description

You'll move heavy loads between Atlantis and depots across the country for a cross-border transport company. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a cross-border transport company on the Atlantis side of Western Cape.

The work, day to day

Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately

You'll need

Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Passport for cross-border routes
Medically fit, including eyesight
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
