Code 14 Side Tipper Driver (Coal Haulage)

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a cold-chain logistics fleet in Mamelodi is hiring. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is Mamelodi-based, with most of your time spent at a cold-chain logistics fleet. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
• Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
• Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
• Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
• Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
• Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops

• Clean criminal record
• At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
• Passport for cross-border routes
• Medically fit, including eyesight
• Able to be away from home for several nights at a time

• Dangerous goods training certificate
• Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)

• Well-maintained trucks with sleeper cabs
• Overnight and subsistence allowance on trips
• Monthly safe-driving and fuel-saving bonus
• Provident fund and medical aid option

• Put your licence code, PrDP expiry date and years on Code 14 in the first three lines. Transport managers scan for those first.
• Be honest about accidents or fines. Companies check your driving record anyway and trust drivers who tell them upfront.
