Job Description

The road is your office with a cold-chain logistics fleet based in White River, and the load gets there because of you. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Home base is a cold-chain logistics fleet on the White River side of Mpumalanga.

What your day looks like

Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts

You'll need

Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Clean criminal record
Medically fit, including eyesight
Passport for cross-border routes
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)

Helpful, not essential

Dangerous goods training certificate
Clean record on a telematics driving score
