Code 14 Tanker Driver (Hazchem) – Immediate Start

You'll move heavy loads between Centurion and depots across the country for a coal haulage contractor. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is Centurion-based, with most of your time spent at a coal haulage contractor.

• Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
• Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
• Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
• Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
• Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads

• Clean criminal record
• At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
• Medically fit, including eyesight
• Clean driving record with no serious accidents
• Valid Code 14 (EC) licence

• Knowledge of SADC border routes
• Defensive driving course

• Overnight and subsistence allowance on trips
• Monthly safe-driving and fuel-saving bonus
• Provident fund and medical aid option
• Paid PrDP renewal

• Put your licence code, PrDP expiry date and years on Code 14 in the first three lines. Transport managers scan for those first.
• List the trailer types and routes you have done, for example "tautliner, JHB to Durban, 4 years".
