Job Description

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a fuel distribution fleet in Pietermaritzburg is hiring. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll report in Pietermaritzburg. Relocation is not covered for this one. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What you'll actually do

Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips

What you need

Passport for cross-border routes
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence

Helpful, not essential

Dangerous goods training certificate
Clean record on a telematics driving score
Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)
