Job Description

The road is your office with a long-haul freight fleet based in Soweto, and the load gets there because of you. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

The work is in Soweto, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What you'll actually do

Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks

You'll need

Medically fit, including eyesight
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence

Extra points for

Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)
Knowledge of SADC border routes
Defensive driving course
