Job Description

You'll move heavy loads between Bellville and depots across the country for a long-haul freight fleet. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Home base is a long-haul freight fleet on the Bellville side of Western Cape. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

What you'll actually do

Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately

What you need

Medically fit, including eyesight
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Passport for cross-border routes
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
