Job Description

Long hours, clean record, safe arrival every time: that is what a cold-chain logistics fleet in Bloemfontein pays for. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is Bloemfontein-based, with most of your time spent at a cold-chain logistics fleet. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

What your day looks like

Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks

You'll need

Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Medically fit, including eyesight
Clean criminal record
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)

Helpful, not essential

Knowledge of SADC border routes
Dangerous goods training certificate
Defensive driving course
