Job Description

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a fuel distribution fleet in Centurion is hiring. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The work is in Centurion, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

What your day looks like

Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately

Must-haves

Clean criminal record
Medically fit, including eyesight
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Passport for cross-border routes
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks

Extra points for

Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)
Clean record on a telematics driving score
Knowledge of SADC border routes
