Job Description

The road is your office with a long-haul freight fleet based in Prospecton, and the load gets there because of you. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is a long-haul freight fleet on the Prospecton side of KwaZulu-Natal. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

The work, day to day

Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts

Must-haves

Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Passport for cross-border routes
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
