Code 8 Courier Driver (Panel Van)

Every parcel scanned, every drop confirmed: that is the job at a motor spares shop in Ermelo. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is Ermelo-based, with most of your time spent at a motor spares shop. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Collect spares and parts from suppliers and bring them to the workshop
• Keep your vehicle or bike clean and report faults
• Phone customers when the address is hard to find
• Follow the delivery app for route and stop order
• Return undelivered parcels to the depot with a reason code
• Load parcels in route order from the depot scanning area
• Fill up the vehicle and keep fuel slips for the logbook

• Smartphone and comfortable using delivery apps
• Clean driving record and no criminal record
• Valid Code 8 (B) licence, or A licence for motorbike roles
• At least 1 year of driving experience
• Able to work Saturdays
• Good sense of direction and map reading

• PrDP for staff shuttle posts
• Previous courier or last-mile experience
• Your own reliable bakkie or bike for owner-driver contracts

• Company van, bakkie or scooter provided
• Branded uniform and rain gear
• Per-drop incentive on busy days

• Say you have a smartphone and know delivery apps. Most courier jobs now run through an app and training time is short.
• If you have a clean driving record, write "no accidents, no traffic fines" plainly. It is what recruiters look for.
