Code 8 Driver (Staff Shuttle)

Every parcel scanned, every drop confirmed: that is the job at a motor spares shop in Isando. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

This post is Isando-based, with most of your time spent at a motor spares shop. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Bank cheques, post documents and run office errands
• Follow the delivery app for route and stop order
• Collect spares and parts from suppliers and bring them to the workshop
• Phone customers when the address is hard to find
• Scan parcels on delivery and take a photo or signature

• Valid Code 8 (B) licence, or A licence for motorbike roles
• Polite with customers at the door
• Clean driving record and no criminal record
• Able to work Saturdays
• At least 1 year of driving experience

• Knowledge of the city's industrial areas
• Previous courier or last-mile experience
• Your own reliable bakkie or bike for owner-driver contracts

• Company van, bakkie or scooter provided
• Per-drop incentive on busy days
• Fuel card for work trips

• For owner-driver jobs, list your vehicle's make, year and load size. They hire the vehicle as much as the driver.
• Say you have a smartphone and know delivery apps. Most courier jobs now run through an app and training time is short.
