Job Description

Fruit from an export fruit packhouse near Polokwane ends up on shelves overseas, packed by your hands. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll report in Polokwane. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

The work, day to day

Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run
Follow food safety rules like hand washing and no jewellery
Build pallets to the correct height and strap them
Sort fruit by size, colour and blemish on the packing line
Stick labels and batch codes on each carton
Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves
Help clean the line and machines at the end of the day

Must-haves

Available for the full packing season including Saturdays
Quick and neat with your hands
Able to stand at a line for long shifts
Follows hygiene rules at all times
Arrives on time for early shifts
Valid ID or permit

Helpful, not essential

Previous packhouse work
Forklift licence for palletising roles
