Cold Room Assistant (Fruit Export)

You'll sort, grade and pack fruit for export at a berry packing facility near Somerset West. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Somerset West-based, with most of your time spent at a berry packing facility. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Sort fruit by size, colour and blemish on the packing line
• Move pallets into cold rooms and record temperatures
• Build pallets to the correct height and strap them
• Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves
• Follow food safety rules like hand washing and no jewellery
• Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight

• Quick and neat with your hands
• Basic counting and reading for labels
• Arrives on time for early shifts
• Follows hygiene rules at all times
• Available for the full packing season including Saturdays

• Transport from nearby towns
