Job Description

This debt collection agency in Midrand needs a calm negotiator who can hear "no" without giving up. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Midrand-based, with most of your time spent at a debt collection agency.

What you'll actually do

Keep calls within the National Credit Act and the Debt Collectors Act rules.
Record reasons for non-payment so the credit team can adjust policy.
Track broken promises-to-pay and follow up within 48 hours.
Negotiate payment arrangements and set up DebiCheck mandates.
Answer disputes about balances, interest and fees with a printed statement.
Dial through your arrears book on the auto-dialler and confirm the debtor's identity.

You'll need

Target-driven and comfortable with commission
Registered, or willing to register, with the Council for Debt Collectors
At least 6 months in collections, sales or a call centre
You keep your tone respectful even when the debtor is not
Matric
