Job Description

Files, diaries and documents all run through you at a litigation law firm in Brakpan. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll be based at a litigation law firm in Brakpan. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What your day looks like

Collate and index court bundles and discovery files
Collect documents for estates, such as death certificates and bank statements
Diarise court dates, prescription dates and filing deadlines
Prepare fee notes and draft invoices for review
Manage the attorney's diary and book consultations
Keep personal information in files secure under POPIA

What you need

Fast, accurate typing and strong Word formatting
Organised under pressure from several attorneys
Discreet with confidential client information
Understanding of court rules and deadlines
At least 2 years in a law firm or legal department
Matric plus a legal secretary or paralegal qualification

Extra points for

Paralegal diploma or LLB studies in progress
Audio typing at 60+ words per minute
