Collections Paralegal (Debt Recovery)

Draft, file, track and follow up: that's your week at a litigation law firm in Rosslyn. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll report in Rosslyn. Relocation is not covered for this one. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Handle incoming calls and give clients straightforward progress updates
• Collate and index court bundles and discovery files
• Capture payments and update debtor balances on collection matters
• Open new matters and do conflict checks on the practice system
• Prepare section 129 notices and default judgment applications
• Keep personal information in files secure under POPIA

• Understanding of court rules and deadlines
• Discreet with confidential client information
• Experience on legal software such as LegalSuite, AJS or GhostPractice
• At least 2 years in a law firm or legal department

• Audio typing at 60+ words per minute
• Experience with the Master's Office for estates
• NCR debt counsellor course

• Year-end bonus at many firms
