Job Description

Hit your collection targets at this debt collection agency in Vanderbijlpark and your commission shows it. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll be based at a debt collection agency in Vanderbijlpark. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What your day looks like

Report daily on rands collected, contacts made and arrangements set.
Negotiate payment arrangements and set up DebiCheck mandates.
Update debtor contact details from tracing searches.
Keep calls within the National Credit Act and the Debt Collectors Act rules.
Record reasons for non-payment so the credit team can adjust policy.
Send written arrangements by SMS or email straight after each call.
Dial through your arrears book on the auto-dialler and confirm the debtor's identity.

What you need

Matric
Clear credit and criminal record
At least 6 months in collections, sales or a call centre
Target-driven and comfortable with commission

Helpful, not essential

Legal collections or attorney-firm background
A second South African language
