Combine Harvester Operator (Seasonal)

This post is Montague Gardens-based, with most of your time spent at a fruit orchard. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Report breakdowns and help the mechanic with repairs
• Mix and apply sprays exactly as the farm manager prescribes
• Clear firebreaks and grade farm roads when needed
• Plant rows straight, using GPS guidance where the tractor has it
• Operate combine harvesters during harvest season

• At least 2 years driving tractors on a farm
• Reliable and sober on duty
• Basic understanding of implements and settings
• Can read job cards and spray instructions
• Willing to work long hours in planting and harvest seasons
• Safe driver who respects chemical and machine safety

• Overtime paid during planting and harvest
• Harvest bonus at season end
• Farm housing with water and electricity
