Job Description

The facilities management company in Pretoria West needs a qualified electrician who can work neatly and sign off safe installations. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Home base is a facilities management company on the Pretoria West side of Gauteng.

What your day looks like

Install and wire distribution boards, isolators and earth leakage units to SANS 10142-1
Replace faulty light fittings, plugs, geyser elements and thermostats
Lock out and tag out circuits before any work on live equipment
Fault-find tripping circuits with a multimeter, insulation tester and loop tester
Complete job cards, material lists and test reports at the end of each job

You'll need

Comfortable working at heights on ladders and in roof spaces
Valid Code 08 driver's licence
Your own basic hand tools and a calibrated multimeter
Electrical trade test certificate (Section 13 or 26D) through a QCTO-accredited centre
Solid working knowledge of SANS 10142-1 and the Electrical Installation Regulations

On offer

Standby allowance when you are on the after-hours roster

Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekends
