Job Description

You'll sort out burst geysers, leaks and blockages for the residential plumbing company in Atlantis. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll report in Atlantis. Relocation is not covered for this one. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

The work, day to day

Issue plumbing Certificates of Compliance for completed installations
Trace hidden leaks using pressure tests and moisture readings
Take photos and complete the insurer's claim report after each geyser job
Replace burst geysers and fit vacuum breakers, drip trays and pressure control valves to SANS 10254
Service booster pumps, pressure tanks and water storage tanks

What you need

Working knowledge of SANS 10252-1 and SANS 10254
At least 3 years as a qualified plumber, including geyser replacements
Plumbing trade test certificate or an Occupational Certificate: Plumber (NQF 4)
Fit enough to lift a 150-litre geyser with a helper and work in tight roof spaces

Extra points for

Heat pump and solar geyser installation experience
SAQCC Gas registration for LPG installations
