Job Description

This insurance repair contractor in Kimberley needs a plumber who arrives on time, fixes it properly and leaves the site clean. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Location: Kimberley, Northern Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

The work, day to day

Issue plumbing Certificates of Compliance for completed installations
Service booster pumps, pressure tanks and water storage tanks
Fit toilets, basins, showers and mixers to the client's chosen finishes
Install and repair soil and waste pipes to SANS 10400 Part P
Work on the emergency call-out roster for after-hours bursts

You'll need

At least 3 years as a qualified plumber, including geyser replacements
Plumbing trade test certificate or an Occupational Certificate: Plumber (NQF 4)
Code 08 licence and a clean driving record
PIRB registration as a Licensed Plumber, so you can issue plumbing CoCs
Working knowledge of SANS 10252-1 and SANS 10254

Extra points for

Drain camera and high-pressure jetting experience
SAQCC Gas registration for LPG installations
Heat pump and solar geyser installation experience
