Commercial Plumber (New Builds)

This residential plumbing company in Mamelodi needs a plumber who arrives on time, fixes it properly and leaves the site clean. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Mamelodi-based, with most of your time spent at a residential plumbing company. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Install and repair soil and waste pipes to SANS 10400 Part P
• Replace burst geysers and fit vacuum breakers, drip trays and pressure control valves to SANS 10254
• Order fittings from the supplier and keep the van stocked
• Clear blocked drains with a rodding machine and inspect lines with a drain camera
• Service booster pumps, pressure tanks and water storage tanks

• Code 08 licence and a clean driving record
• Able to talk politely to home owners about damage and costs
• PIRB registration as a Licensed Plumber, so you can issue plumbing CoCs
• Plumbing trade test certificate or an Occupational Certificate: Plumber (NQF 4)

• Experience with insurance repair work and claim paperwork
• Drain camera and high-pressure jetting experience

• Call-out bonus for every after-hours job you complete
• Protective clothing and safety boots replaced yearly
• Cellphone allowance for job updates and photos

• Do not list every plumbing task you have ever done. Focus on geysers, drainage and CoCs, which is what these jobs pay for.
