Job Description

Know your way around SANS 10254 and a geyser drip tray? The property management company in Pretoria West wants to hear from you. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll be based at a property management company in Pretoria West. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

The work, day to day

Service booster pumps, pressure tanks and water storage tanks
Install and repair soil and waste pipes to SANS 10400 Part P
Work on the emergency call-out roster for after-hours bursts
Install copper, PEX and PVC piping for new bathrooms and kitchens
Replace burst geysers and fit vacuum breakers, drip trays and pressure control valves to SANS 10254
Take photos and complete the insurer's claim report after each geyser job
Fit toilets, basins, showers and mixers to the client's chosen finishes

Must-haves

Working knowledge of SANS 10252-1 and SANS 10254
Able to talk politely to home owners about damage and costs
PIRB registration as a Licensed Plumber, so you can issue plumbing CoCs
At least 3 years as a qualified plumber, including geyser replacements
Code 08 licence and a clean driving record

Helpful, not essential

Heat pump and solar geyser installation experience
Experience with insurance repair work and claim paperwork
SAQCC Gas registration for LPG installations
