Construction Health and Safety Agent

The high-rise residential project in Burgersfort needs a safety officer who is on the site, not stuck in the container office. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Home base is a high-rise residential project on the Burgersfort side of Limpopo. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Hold toolbox talks on topics that match the week's work
• Write and review risk assessments and safe work method statements
• Check that fall protection plans are in place for work at height
• Investigate incidents and near misses and report them on time
• Compile and maintain the site health and safety file under the Construction Regulations 2014

• At least 2 years as a safety officer on construction sites
• SAMTRAC or an NQF-accredited health and safety qualification
• Confident enough to stop unsafe work, even when the programme is tight
• First Aid Level 1 at least
• SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer

• Experience on renewable energy or high-rise projects
• ISO 45001 internal auditor course

• Travel and site allowances
• Laptop and data for reporting
• Paid SACPCMP renewal and CPD

• Put your SACPCMP registration number and category first. Many CVs without it are rejected without being read.
• Bring a sample risk assessment or safety file index you drew up (remove client names). It shows your work better than a list.
