Construction Health and Safety Agent – Immediate Start

You'll keep the site legal and the workers safe for the road construction project in Middelburg (MP). It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll be based at a road construction project in Middelburg (MP). Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Write and review risk assessments and safe work method statements
• Keep appointment letters and competency certificates in the file
• Inspect scaffolds, excavations and edge protection daily
• Run site inductions for every new worker and visitor
• Compile and maintain the site health and safety file under the Construction Regulations 2014

• SAMTRAC or an NQF-accredited health and safety qualification
• SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer
• First Aid Level 1 at least
• Confident enough to stop unsafe work, even when the programme is tight
• At least 2 years as a safety officer on construction sites

• Diploma in Safety Management
• Fall protection planner training

• Clear growth path to a construction health and safety agent role
• Laptop and data for reporting
• Travel and site allowances
• Paid SACPCMP renewal and CPD

• Put your SACPCMP registration number and category first. Many CVs without it are rejected without being read.
• Bring a sample risk assessment or safety file index you drew up (remove client names). It shows your work better than a list.
