Construction Health and Safety Officer (SACPCMP) – Immediate Start

You'll keep the site legal and the workers safe for the road construction project in Springs. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is a road construction project on the Springs side of Gauteng.

• Inspect scaffolds, excavations and edge protection daily
• Prepare monthly safety statistics for the client's agent
• Compile and maintain the site health and safety file under the Construction Regulations 2014
• Audit subcontractor safety files before they start work
• Hold toolbox talks on topics that match the week's work

• You write clear reports in English
• SAMTRAC or an NQF-accredited health and safety qualification
• First Aid Level 1 at least
• SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer
• At least 2 years as a safety officer on construction sites

• ISO 45001 internal auditor course
• Diploma in Safety Management

• Paid SACPCMP renewal and CPD
• Laptop and data for reporting
• Clear growth path to a construction health and safety agent role
• Travel and site allowances

• Bring a sample risk assessment or safety file index you drew up (remove client names). It shows your work better than a list.
• Name the kind of projects you have covered, like roads, housing or wind farms. Clients want sector experience.
