Construction Manager (Mid-Rise Buildings) – Permanent

You'll run the site day to day for the retail and commercial builder in Benoni, from setting out to handover. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

The work is in Benoni, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

• Chair the weekly site meeting and record actions for the principal agent
• Order concrete, bricks and steel on time so gangs never stand idle
• Measure completed work for monthly payment certificates
• Check workmanship against drawings, specifications and SANS 10400
• Run toolbox talks and support the safety officer on Construction Regulations compliance
• Keep the site diary, daily labour returns and plant hours up to date

• Code 08 licence and your own reliable transport between sites
• At least 5 years on building or civil sites, 2 of them in a supervisory post
• Working knowledge of the Construction Regulations 2014 under the OHS Act
• Good with MS Project or a similar programme tool
• You can read architectural and structural drawings and pick up clashes
• National Diploma or BTech in Building or Civil Engineering, or a trade background with site experience

• Mention the contract types you have worked on, like JBCC or GCC. It shows you understand claims and variations.
