Control and Instrumentation Engineer – Immediate Start

The solar and battery project developer in Mokopane needs an electrical engineer for projects that go from design to commissioning. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Location: Mokopane, Limpopo. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Inspect installations and sign off compliance on completion
• Size cables, transformers and protection using design software
• Plan maintenance for switchgear, transformers and motor control centres
• Investigate power quality problems with a power analyser
• Guide technicians and contractors on site during commissioning
• Design LV and MV reticulation to SANS 10142-1 and SANS 10142-2
• Set and test protection relays and keep settings records

• At least 3 years of electrical engineering work after graduating
• Strong understanding of SANS 10142 and the Electrical Installation Regulations
• ECSA registration as Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng or Candidate
• Able to write clear technical reports and specifications
• BEng or BSc Eng in Electrical Engineering, or a BTech or Advanced Diploma for technologist posts

• Clear path to associate or senior engineer
• Vehicle allowance for site work
• Paid professional registration and training
