Conveyancer (Admitted, Residential Property)

Keep transfers, bonds and cancellations moving at a property development law firm in Benoni. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Home base is a property development law firm on the Benoni side of Gauteng. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Request rates clearance and levy clearance figures from councils and body corporates
• Apply for transfer duty receipts on SARS eFiling
• Update agents, banks and clients on file progress on the bank portal and by email
• Lodge documents at the Deeds Office and track them through examination
• Open transfer files from signed offers to purchase and check the terms

• Experience on a conveyancing system such as GhostConvey, LegalSuite or AJS
• Clear, polite updates to anxious buyers and sellers
• Matric, with a conveyancing course for secretary posts
• Organised enough to run 60 or more live files
• At least 2 years of conveyancing or bond work

• Sectional title and new development experience
• Notarial bonds and servitudes
• Estate late transfers

• Normal office hours with rare weekend work
• Parking or taxi allowance for Deeds Office runs
• Paid conveyancing short courses

• Name the conveyancing software and bank portals you know in your first CV section.
• Mention the Deeds Office you usually lodge at, such as Pretoria or Cape Town, since practice differs slightly.
