Cost Accountant (Food Processing Plant)

Month-end, year-end and audit prep all run through you at a national retail chain head office in Epping. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

This post is Epping-based, with most of your time spent at a national retail chain head office.

• Review creditors, debtors and payroll journals from the clerks
• Draft annual financial statements under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Run the month-end close and prepare the trial balance
• Run cash flow forecasts and manage the weekly payment run
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary

• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
