Job Description

You'll care for and teach young children at a primary school aftercare programme in Tzaneen, from nappies to first letters. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Home base is a primary school aftercare programme on the Tzaneen side of Limpopo.

What your day looks like

Run morning ring with songs, weather and counting
Set up daily learning areas for art, blocks, reading and fantasy play
Plan themes and holiday programmes with the principal
Feed, change and settle babies and toddlers on their routine
Observe each child and note milestones in their development file

What you need

Warm, patient and energetic with small children
Paediatric first aid certificate
ECD Level 4 or Level 5 qualification, or currently studying towards one
Able to follow hygiene and safety routines without cutting corners
Clear Form 30 child protection check and police clearance
Matric

Extra points for

Montessori diploma or Reggio-inspired training
Basic music, art or movement skills for group activities
Experience with children with special needs
