Creditors Clerk (Manufacturing) – Experienced

A property management company in Lephalale needs a bookkeeper who closes the month on time, every month. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll report in Lephalale. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Reconcile creditors statements and sort out differences with suppliers
• Update customer credit limits and put accounts on hold when needed
• Match orders, delivery notes and invoices before a payment goes out
• Reconcile bank accounts daily and clear unallocated items
• Send customer statements and phone accounts that are over 60 days
• Post month-end journals for accruals, prepayments and depreciation
• Load supplier payments on internet banking for authorisation

• Accurate with figures and careful with supplier bank details
• Matric with Accounting
• At least 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping or clerk work
• Good with Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables and simple formulas

• Experience with debt collection letters and handover to attorneys
• Registered with SAIPA or the ICB as a bookkeeper

• Thirteenth cheque at many small firms
• Hybrid work after probation at some practices
• Office hours with no weekend work

• Say how far you take the books, for example "to trial balance" or "to management accounts"; it tells recruiters your level.
• Name the accounting packages you use daily in your CV headline, such as "Sage Pastel Partner, Xero, Excel".
