Creditors Clerk (Manufacturing)

You'll keep the books clean and up to date for a wholesale distributor in Mthatha. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll be based at a wholesale distributor in Mthatha. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Match orders, delivery notes and invoices before a payment goes out
• Load supplier payments on internet banking for authorisation
• Run petty cash and file slips with proper supporting documents
• Post month-end journals for accruals, prepayments and depreciation
• Capture supplier invoices and customer receipts on Sage or Xero
• Reconcile creditors statements and sort out differences with suppliers
• Reconcile bank accounts daily and clear unallocated items

• Practical skill in Sage Pastel, Sage Business Cloud or Xero
• Good with Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables and simple formulas
• Accurate with figures and careful with supplier bank details
• At least 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping or clerk work

• Knowledge of Sage Evolution or QuickBooks
• Experience with inventory costing in a trading business

• Office hours with no weekend work
• Hybrid work after probation at some practices
• Paid study leave for bookkeeping exams
• Thirteenth cheque at many small firms
