Creditors Clerk (Manufacturing) – Immediate Start

Recons that balance and suppliers who get paid right: that's the job at a family-owned manufacturer in Richards Bay. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Home base is a family-owned manufacturer on the Richards Bay side of KwaZulu-Natal. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Match orders, delivery notes and invoices before a payment goes out
• Run petty cash and file slips with proper supporting documents
• Reconcile bank accounts daily and clear unallocated items
• Capture supplier invoices and customer receipts on Sage or Xero
• Update customer credit limits and put accounts on hold when needed
• Send customer statements and phone accounts that are over 60 days

• Accurate with figures and careful with supplier bank details
• Good with Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables and simple formulas
• Matric with Accounting
• Practical skill in Sage Pastel, Sage Business Cloud or Xero
• Bookkeeping certificate or diploma (ICB, FASSET learnership or similar)
• At least 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping or clerk work

• Hybrid work after probation at some practices
• Office hours with no weekend work
• Thirteenth cheque at many small firms
• Paid study leave for bookkeeping exams

• Recruiters often give a short Excel or recon test, so practise a bank recon before the interview.
• Name the accounting packages you use daily in your CV headline, such as "Sage Pastel Partner, Xero, Excel".
