Crusher Operator (Primary & Secondary)

The chrome recovery plant near Rustenburg needs operators who can run their area safely on a 24-hour shift cycle. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is Rustenburg-based, with most of your time spent at a chrome recovery plant. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Clear blocked chutes safely under isolation
• Check pumps, cyclones and thickeners on the plant walk
• Watch mill loads, cell levels and densities on the SCADA screens
• Adjust reagent dosing and air flow to hit recovery targets
• Hand over the plant to the next shift with a clear status report
• Clean spillage and keep walkways free of hazards
• Take samples at set times and bring them to the lab

• Basic computer skills for SCADA screens and logs
• Certificate of fitness from the mine medical station
• At least 1 year operating a processing plant
• Comfortable around noise, dust and heights while wearing full PPE
• MQA minerals processing certificate at NQF 2 or higher

• Laboratory or sampling experience
• Forklift or overhead crane licence
