Customer Service Agent (Telco Support)

You'll take customer calls and chats at an online retail help desk in Benoni, sorting problems on the first contact. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at an online retail help desk in Benoni. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Follow up on open tickets and phone customers back when promised.
• Attend team huddles and weekly coaching sessions on call recordings.
• Process address changes, refunds and cancellations on the billing system.
• Troubleshoot routers, fibre connections and app logins step by step.
• Verify caller identity before sharing any account details, as POPIA requires.
• Meet daily targets for average handle time, quality score and first-call resolution.
• Answer inbound calls within target and greet callers using the approved script.

• Clear, neutral spoken English and good typing speed (around 30 wpm)
• Matric with a pass in English
• Open to rotating shifts, including nights and weekends for offshore campaigns
• Able to pass a voice and accent assessment
• You stay calm when a caller is angry

• A second language, especially Afrikaans, isiZulu or Portuguese
• Technical know-how on Wi-Fi, fibre or smartphones
• A Customer Service NQF Level 2 or 4 learnership certificate
