Dairy Milker (Rotary Parlour)

You'll feed, milk and care for animals on a cattle feedlot near Epping, every day of the year. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll be based at a cattle feedlot in Epping. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Keep water troughs and drinkers working
• Move animals between camps or pens calmly
• Help the vet with vaccinations and treatments
• Record births, deaths and treatments in the herd book
• Clean pens, houses and milking equipment
• Feed animals the right ration at the right time

• Reliable, since animals depend on you
• Willing to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays on rotation
• Follows hygiene and biosecurity rules
• Able to live on the farm or close by
• South African ID or a legal work permit

• Basic farm maintenance skills
• Animal health or AgriSETA short course
• Supervisory experience for foreman roles

• Farm housing on site
• Milk or meat rations
• Training in animal health
• Production bonus on milk yield or growth targets

• For foreman roles, mention how many workers you supervised and what you were in charge of.
• Say which animals you have worked with and for how long. Farmers want someone who already knows the routine.
