Job Description

Hit your collection targets at this vehicle finance collections floor in Umlazi and your commission shows it. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a vehicle finance collections floor on the Umlazi side of KwaZulu-Natal.

What your day looks like

Keep calls within the National Credit Act and the Debt Collectors Act rules.
Send written arrangements by SMS or email straight after each call.
Record reasons for non-payment so the credit team can adjust policy.
Answer disputes about balances, interest and fees with a printed statement.
Track broken promises-to-pay and follow up within 48 hours.
Negotiate payment arrangements and set up DebiCheck mandates.

You'll need

Good with numbers, dates and payment calculations
Registered, or willing to register, with the Council for Debt Collectors
You keep your tone respectful even when the debtor is not
Target-driven and comfortable with commission

Helpful, not essential

Knowledge of the NCA and prescription rules
Experience on a collections system such as Debtmaster or a dialler platform
A second South African language
