Deep Clean Crew Member (Post-Construction)

When production stops at a newly built office block in Roodepoort, your crew moves in and cleans everything down. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is in Roodepoort (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Put out and check pest bait stations on the site map
• Run a high-pressure washer on grease, oil and slurry build-up
• Store chemicals in the locked chemical store with safety data sheets
• Lock out machines before cleaning, as the safety file requires
• Foam, scrub and rinse walls, floors and conveyors with approved chemicals
• Clear builders' dust, paint and cement off floors and windows after construction

• Willing to work nights and weekends when plants shut down
• Respect for chemical safety and PPE
• Reliable, as crews are small and each person counts
• Able to pass a medical fitness check for plant work
• Not scared of heights for window or rope crews

• Paid training on machines and chemicals
• Higher hourly rate than standard cleaning
• Full PPE: waterproof suits, boots, goggles and respirators
• Night-shift and standby allowances

• Say you are available for night and shutdown work. That is when most factory hygiene cleaning happens.
• Put the machines and chemicals you have used at the top of your CV. Industrial cleaning companies hire on skills, not just willingness.
