Job Description

Strong back, sharp eyes on the load sheet: that is what a parcel sorting hub in Centurion wants. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll be based at a parcel sorting hub in Centurion. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What your day looks like

Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks

What you need

No criminal record
Friendly with customers at the door
Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
Able to lift and carry heavy items all day

Nice if you have

Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
Past work as a driver's assistant
A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)
