Job Description

Strong back, sharp eyes on the load sheet: that is what a beverage depot in Mokopane wants. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a beverage depot on the Mokopane side of Limpopo.

The work, day to day

Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts

You'll need

Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
Willing to travel on routes that return late
No criminal record
Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips

Nice if you have

Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
Basic furniture assembly skills
Past work as a driver's assistant

On offer

Route-completion incentives in busy months
Uniform and safety shoes provided
Meal allowance on long-route days

If you're shortlisted you'll hear from us within 6 working days, usually by phone.

How2Apply recruits for this position on behalf of hiring employers around Mokopane; applications go into our talent pool and shortlisted candidates are introduced directly.

How2Apply never charges you to apply, for training, for uniforms or for a "placement fee". If anyone asks you for money, it is a scam.

Before you hit apply

Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
Keep your CV to one page with your phone number big and clear. Depot managers phone, they seldom email.
