Delivery Assistant (Furniture Trucks) – Entry Level

You'll load and offload trucks at a cement and brick yard in Soweto so every delivery goes out full and correct. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is a cement and brick yard on the Soweto side of Gauteng. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading

• No criminal record
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Willing to travel on routes that return late

• Past work as a driver's assistant
• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
• Basic furniture assembly skills

• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Meal allowance on long-route days
