Stock Packer (Distribution Centre)

Every order that leaves this pharmaceutical warehouse in Soweto passes through your hands first. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll be based at a pharmaceutical warehouse in Soweto. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking

• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• You can read product codes and count accurately
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts

• Basic computer skills for capturing counts
• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse

• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
