Delivery Assistant (Furniture Trucks)

You'll load and offload trucks at a furniture retailer warehouse in Worcester so every delivery goes out full and correct. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a furniture retailer warehouse on the Worcester side of Western Cape.

• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals

• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• No criminal record
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day

• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)
• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops

• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
