Job Description

A hospital group in Durban Central needs a calm tech who can help frustrated users get back to work. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Durban Central-based, with most of your time spent at a hospital group. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

What your day looks like

  • Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system
  • Troubleshoot Outlook, Teams and OneDrive problems for users
  • Reset passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID
  • Connect users remotely with a remote support tool to fix issues
  • Replace faulty hardware and log warranty claims with suppliers

You'll need

  • Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
  • Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
  • Patient and friendly with non-technical users
  • Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma
  • Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
