Desktop Support Technician (Second Line) – Immediate Start

Tickets come in all day at this managed IT services provider in Hammarsdale, and you close them. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Location: Hammarsdale, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

• Reset passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID
• Image, set up and hand over new laptops and desktops
• Visit branches or sites to fix issues that need hands on the machine
• Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves
• Escalate network and server faults to second or third line with good notes

• Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
• Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
• At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)

• Clear path to second-line and systems roles
• Paid certification exams after probation
• Standby pay for after-hours cover

• List your certifications right under your name; A+ and ITIL are common keyword filters.
• Be ready for a practical test on a real laptop or a phone troubleshooting role-play.
