Diesel Technician (Bus Depot)

You'll service and repair heavy diesel vehicles for the earthmoving plant hire company in eMalahleni. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

The site is in eMalahleni; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

• Inspect tyres, fifth wheels and kingpins for wear and damage
• Repair gearboxes, differentials and clutches on heavy vehicles
• Repair hydraulics on tippers, cranes and tail-lifts
• Carry out pre-roadworthy checks before the vehicle goes for COF testing
• Attend roadside breakdowns in the service truck

• Solid understanding of air brake systems
• Diesel mechanic trade test certificate
• Code 14 licence so you can move and test trucks
• Willing to do standby and roadside call-outs
• Physically fit for work under trucks and on pits

• Overtime available most weeks
