Dispatch Assistant (Building Materials)

Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this furniture retailer warehouse in Mamelodi, and you move the stock in between. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll report in Mamelodi. Relocation is not covered for this one. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks

• No criminal record
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note

• Basic furniture assembly skills
• Past work as a driver's assistant

• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
